Old Dayak White Metal Coils

Location- Kalimantan (Borneo)

Estimated Age- late 19th century to very early 20th century

These are quite unique in that you normally don't see them in a white metal and also having a left and right piece to the pair. These are usually in a yellow bronze or brass material and not paired by side direction. 

These are very old and have a heavy patina. These ear weights are commonly reproduced as replicas and we were lucky enough to find 4 old authentic pairs while traveling through Borneo several years ago. Made from White Brass (mixed metals), these are about 11mm in thickness and weigh about 65 grams each.
