Old Saru Dalinga Earrings
Oracle Body Jewelry
• Location- Nias, Indonesia.
• Estimated Age- late 19th century to very early 20th century
• Traditionally worn by women in pairs these signify status and were often worn during ceremonies and weddings. Men would also wear one single earring of this style. This type of earring is still worn today but in a much smaller version than these older pieces.
• These are very rare especially as they would normally be seen in a high karat gold. Resembling a leaf, these are quite thin and care should be taken not to bend them. These measure approximately 4-7/8" wide by 2" tall.
